Year 4 (ages 9 to 10)
In Year 4, your child moves into Form II in the Charlotte Mason curriculum. They begin written narration and start a few new subjects such as dictation, composition, grammar, geometry, citizenship, Latin, Shakespeare and a wider field of history.

- Drill: Choose exercises from the following: the Syllabus of Physical Training, issued by the Board of Education in 1919, and Peasant Dances of Many Lands, by Mrs Kimmins. Children are also encouraged to regularly skip and play sports such as netball, hockey, tennis, swimming and so on.
